Race to the Lake is back bigger and more exciting than ever! The 3rd annual Race to the Lake road race will take place on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Kenner, LA (suburb of New Orleans). Runners of all ages and running abilities will enjoy a beautiful Spring morning while experiencing the highlights of this scenic course. Starting in Kenner’s “Lake Town”, runners will experience a unique course that will take participants through an exciting route that finishes on beautiful Lake Pontchartrain.
The 2016 Race to the Lake will include both a 5K fun run and a 10K (6.2 mile) course and will again raise funds for our local charity.
We are excited to announce that our official Race to the Lake charity partner is Susan G. Komen. Komen New Orleans serves thousands of women in the Greater New Orleans area as the local source for funding programs that provide low-cost or free screening mammograms, diagnostic testing and breast cancer treatment to uninsured or underinsured New Orleans residents Since 1992, Komen New Orleans has invested more than $5.3 million into New Orleans via its annual community grants program to fund breast health programs and services for medically-under served New Orleans residents.
Race to the Lake is excited to partner for this amazing organization.
